About the role
We are seeking a Senior Geoenvironmental Consultant to lead a variety of brownfield redevelopment, contaminated land and environmental assessment projects. Based in Leeds, you will work alongside experienced geotechnical, geoenvironmental and civil engineering professionals, delivering technical expertise from initial site assessment through to project completion.
Key responsibilities
- Manage geoenvironmental and contaminated land projects from inception to delivery.
- Design, supervise and interpret Phase I and Phase II site investigations.
- Produce and review technical reports, including risk assessments and remediation strategies.
- Develop cost‑effective remediation solutions for contaminated sites.
- Mentor junior consultants and provide technical guidance.
- Liaise with clients, regulators, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Prepare fee proposals, project programmes, cost estimates and manage budgets.
- Support business development and maintain strong client relationships.
- Ensure compliance with UK environmental legislation, industry guidance and health & safety standards.
Required profile
- Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in a geoenvironmental or contaminated land consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation and risk assessment methodologies.
- Proven experience managing Phase I and Phase II investigations.
- Excellent report writing and technical review abilities.
- Experience mentoring junior team members.
- Commercial awareness and client‑relationship management skills.
- Full UK driving licence.
