Senior Geotechnical Engineer – Exeter

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a well‑established consultancy in Exeter. You will lead a variety of projects across residential, commercial, infrastructure and energy sectors, delivering high‑quality technical solutions from feasibility through to detailed design.

Key responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical projects from inception to completion, including budgeting and client liaison.
• Produce technical reports, ground investigation interpretations and design documentation.
• Design foundations, retaining walls, earthworks and conduct slope stability analyses.
• Mentor junior engineers and support their professional development.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related discipline.
• Several years of experience in a UK geotechnical consultancy.
• Chartered status or working towards chartership.
• Full UK driving licence.
