Senior Group Accountant – 6‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

We are partnering with a growing global private‑equity firm to hire a Senior Group Accountant on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. The role will support the UK finance team, delivering core business‑as‑usual finance activities across multiple UK entities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly trial balances, management accounts and month‑end MI reporting packs.
• Support quarterly group reporting submissions and Board packs.
• Prepare and submit quarterly regulatory returns for regulated entities.
• Assist with statutory financial statement preparation and year‑end audit processes.
• Manage treasury activities including cash‑flow forecasting, liquidity management, invoicing, payment processing, partner‑share management and intercompany loan facilities.
• Coach and support junior finance team members to ensure high‑quality delivery.
• Contribute to the design, implementation and enhancement of financial reporting controls and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with at least five years of finance experience, including roughly two years post‑qualification.
• Previous experience in a corporate or investment‑management environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, FRS, UK regulatory reporting and statutory financial statements.
• Proven ability to prepare management accounts, trial balances and support audit processes.

Required skills

• ACA/ACCA qualification.
• IFRS and FRS reporting standards.
• UK regulatory reporting expertise.
• Proficiency with SAP and Concur.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
