Senior Health & Safety Consultant

About the role

As a Senior Health & Safety Consultant you will deliver expert consultancy to a diverse portfolio of clients across the UK and Ireland, helping them achieve regulatory compliance and improve overall safety performance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct health and safety audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
• Perform fire risk assessments and advise on fire safety compliance.
• Support clients with risk assessments, safe systems of work and management system development.
• Investigate incidents, produce detailed reports and recommendations.
• Deliver training, workshops and safety briefings to client staff.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a trusted advisor.
• Advise on UK and Ireland health & safety legislation and best practice.
• Support ISO 45001 and wider management system implementation.

Required profile

• NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5/6 in Occupational Health & Safety.
• IOSH Managing Safety (CMIOSH) preferred, with at least CertIOSH.
• NEBOSH Fire Safety qualification and practical fire risk assessment experience.
• Proven experience in consultancy, certification, engineering, construction or related sectors.
• Strong knowledge of UK health & safety legislation and audit processes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills
