Senior Health & Safety Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Health & Safety Manager to lead and shape the next phase of our health, safety and compliance journey across multiple business divisions. Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will influence culture, drive standards and embed safety into every decision.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain health & safety systems, policies and procedures across all sites.
• Ensure compliance with legislation, ISO standards and industry best practice.
• Conduct audits, lead investigations and deliver measurable safety performance improvements.
• Collaborate with managers in construction, civil engineering, manufacturing, logistics and quarrying to embed a safety‑first mindset.
• Manage multi‑site risk assessments and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in health & safety within demanding operational environments such as construction, manufacturing or logistics.
• NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 qualification) and Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) or working towards chartered status.
• Demonstrated ability to influence at all organisational levels and challenge where necessary.
• Experience managing ISO standards, conducting audits and leading investigations.
• Multi‑site experience and strong operational risk‑management knowledge are highly desirable.
