Senior High Yield & Distressed Credit Sales Executive

About the role

We are partnering with a leading European institutional broker to hire a senior salesperson for its High Yield and Distressed Credit desk. The role will originate and execute European high‑yield and distressed credit flows, primarily with hedge funds and specialist credit funds. You will leverage deep research coverage and a strong corporate‑access platform to generate new business across the continent.

Key responsibilities

• Originate and execute high‑yield and distressed credit trades (bonds and related instruments) across the UK and Europe.
• Provide high‑quality technical bond analysis, capital‑structure insights, and trade ideas to portfolio managers.
• Build and expand a dedicated institutional client book through proactive relationship development and new‑business generation.
• Collaborate with in‑house research and corporate‑access teams to deliver tailored ideas and early‑access opportunities.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in high‑yield, distressed or special‑situations credit sales within the UK/Europe.
• Proven track record of generating business and building relationships with hedge funds.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex credit situations convincingly.
