Senior Housing Disrepair Solicitor

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Housing Disrepair Solicitor to join a newly established legal firm in Central Manchester. The role offers hybrid working and the chance to shape a growing practice specialising in housing disrepair, property disputes and housing law.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of six staff, including fee‑earners and administrators.
• Handle an active caseload of housing disrepair matters from instruction through to trial.
• Work closely with the Managing Director to develop firm processes and provide training to junior colleagues.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a minimum of five years fee‑earning experience in housing disrepair.
• Proven experience in claimant litigation and familiarity with the Housing Conditions Pre‑Action Protocol.
• Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to meet competing deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management systems such as Proclaim.
• Excellent drafting skills and knowledge of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
