Senior HR Advisor – 6‑month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

Portfolio HR & Reward is supporting a fast‑growing organisation in South West London. They are seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor on a 6‑month fixed‑term contract, with the possibility of a permanent role thereafter.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a high volume of end‑to‑end employee relations cases, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management and performance issues.
• Provide expert guidance to managers on complex investigations and sensitive hearings, ensuring full compliance with UK employment law.
• Partner with line managers to up‑skill their handling of team issues and mentor a remote HR Advisor.
• Use data‑driven analysis to monitor ER metrics, identify trends, mitigate risk and recommend improvements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and stay ahead of legislative changes to implement best‑practice HR initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven track record managing high‑volume, complex employee relations cases from start to finish.
• Deep knowledge of current UK employment law and HR best practices.
• Strong coaching ability, with experience mentoring junior HR staff and advising senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust quickly.
• Analytical mindset comfortable using data to drive decisions and generate reports.
