Senior HR Business Partner – Hybrid (Devon)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join a regulated organisation in Devon. Working on a six‑month contract with the possibility of extension, you will operate in a hybrid model, spending 2–3 days per week on site.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to shape and deliver the people strategy.
• Lead strategic workforce planning to ensure the right skills for future growth.
• Design and implement talent retention and succession‑planning programmes.
• Support talent acquisition for critical and specialist roles.
• Advise on organisational design, restructuring and workforce change.
• Analyse workforce data and HR insights to guide decision‑making.
• Coach managers on complex employee‑relations and performance issues.
• Ensure HR practices comply with employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Contribute to change, engagement and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a Senior HR Business Partner or equivalent.
• Background in a regulated or compliance‑focused industry.
• Proven track record in strategic workforce planning, talent retention and acquisition.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage organisational change.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• CIPD Level 5 or Level 7 qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Available to start promptly and work on‑site 2–3 days per week.
