Senior HR Operations & Payroll Administrator

About the role

This senior position sits within a dynamic, multi‑entity UK organisation that is expanding its HR operational infrastructure. You will act as the central point for HR administration and payroll coordination, helping to shape a scalable and sustainable people model.

Key responsibilities

• Manage HR administration across the full employee life‑cycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, record keeping and off‑boarding.
• Coordinate monthly payroll for all UK entities, ensuring accurate data preparation, validation, reporting and reconciliation.
• Serve as the primary HR operational contact for employees and managers.
• Produce regular HR and payroll reports, maintaining compliance and data quality.
• Support HRIS administration, system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives, particularly within Dayforce.
• Develop, maintain and improve HR processes, templates, workflows and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation, payroll regulations and internal policies.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and enhance HR operational processes and service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in both HR Operations and Payroll Administration.
• Strong understanding of employee life‑cycle processes and payroll administration.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience producing reports, analysing HR data and handling large datasets.
• Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with a continuous‑improvement approach.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for reporting, analysis and data validation.
• Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (e.g., Dayforce).
