Senior IFA Administrator – Client Account Manager

About the role

This senior, hands‑on position supports two senior financial advisers and their client portfolios within an established financial planning firm in London. You will combine direct client administration with leadership of a small team of Client Account Managers, ensuring high‑quality service and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior administrative support to two advisers, handling pre‑ and post‑sales tasks.
• Manage client communication, keeping clients informed throughout the advice process.
• Take ownership of complex or sensitive cases and ensure timely resolution.
• Lead and develop a small team of Client Account Managers/Administrators, running regular meetings and monitoring workload.
• Prepare accurate documentation, reports and client correspondence.
• Maintain compliance with FCA, GDPR, MiFID II and PRIIPs requirements.
• Utilise CRM systems and client portals effectively.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years’ experience in IFA administration, wealth management or financial planning.
• Proven experience supporting advisers and clients directly, not just processing tasks.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor, supervise or lead a small team.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and a professional communication style.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM platforms.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Competence with Adobe Acrobat/Adobe suite.
