Senior Import Clerk

About the role

We are a well‑established freight forwarder based near Heathrow, looking for an experienced Senior Import Clerk to manage air, sea and road import shipments from shipper to consignee.

Key responsibilities

• Handle end‑to‑end import shipments across air, sea and road modes.
• Prepare and process EU customs declarations and other import paperwork.
• Use the ASM Sequoia and Boxtop systems for customs entry and shipment tracking.
• Provide customer service and communication with shippers, consignees and internal teams.
• Cross‑train across different transport modes to support flexible operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of import handling experience, including customs clearances.
• Strong knowledge of air, sea and road import procedures.
• Excellent English communication and customer‑service skills.
• Commercially aware, proactive and able to work flexibly.
• Steady employment history of at least 5 years.
