Senior Individual Giving Acquisition Officer (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Christian Aid is seeking a Senior Individual Giving Acquisition Officer on a 12‑month maternity cover basis. Working hybrid (minimum two days in the office) from Edinburgh, London or Warrington, you will lead the strategy and execution of donor acquisition across key appeals such as Christian Aid Week, Christmas and Emergency Appeals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement an Individual Giving acquisition strategy to attract new supporters.
• Lead regular‑giving recruitment across multiple channels, increasing lifetime value of donors.
• Manage a team of two Individual Giving Acquisition Officers.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, manage budgets and forecast campaign performance.
• Optimise acquisition channels, refine messaging and test new products to grow both one‑off and regular giving.
• Ensure cost‑effective delivery of campaigns while championing the “Believe in the Possible” proposition.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in fundraising, donor acquisition or related charitable marketing.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage budgets.
• Strong analytical skills for forecasting and performance tracking.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
