Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Linux & Cloud Automation)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to own Linux infrastructure and cloud automation for our managed‑service customers. This hands‑on position offers real ownership, not a support desk function, and includes on‑call responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end Linux patching using Ansible.
• Administer Azure Backup for Linux workloads and maintain backup success rates.
• Build Infrastructure‑as‑Code deployments with Bicep and ARM templates.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure using Azure DevOps.
• Serve as escalation point for Tier‑1 engineers and lead P1 incident response.
• Participate in a 1‑in‑5 weekly on‑call rota with compensation.

Required profile

• 5‑7 years of enterprise infrastructure engineering, preferably in an MSP environment.
• Strong Linux administration across RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Oracle Linux.
• Proven Ansible experience, including playbook development and compliance reporting.
• Hands‑on Azure expertise: Linux VM management, Update Manager, Backup, Key Vault, networking.
• Experience with IaC using Bicep and/or ARM templates.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid Bash scripting skills.
• Understanding of ITIL change management and ServiceNow ticketing.
• AZ‑104 (Azure Administrator Associate) certification or equivalent Azure experience.
