About the role

Join a leading professional services firm expanding its specialist tax team in Glasgow. As a Senior Innovation Tax Advisor you will help a diverse client base—from tech start‑ups to established manufacturers—unlock value through R&D tax relief and other innovation incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on eligibility and optimisation of R&D tax credits and related innovation incentives.
• Prepare robust technical documentation to support tax relief claims.
• Liaise directly with HMRC on behalf of clients.
• Mentor and support junior team members in delivering high‑quality work.
• Contribute to business development activities and help shape the firm’s innovation tax offering.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in UK corporate tax, preferably with experience in R&D tax claims.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, client‑focused narratives.
• Confident client engagement and proactive deadline management.
• Motivation to develop within a collaborative, innovation‑driven team.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UK corporate tax legislation and R&D tax relief rules.
• Experience preparing technical tax documentation and interacting with HMRC.
