Senior Instrument Engineer

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Senior Instrument Engineer to work on major oil and gas projects, primarily based in Woking, Surrey, with potential travel to Al Khafji, Saudi Arabia. The role may be within the Core Engineering Team or a Project Management Team, overseeing instrument personnel and supporting project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage instrument engineering activities, delegating tasks to junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard and related procedures.
• Support construction and commissioning phases as required.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project specifications.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years of overall experience, with at least 8 years in instrumentation and control engineering for large oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
• Experience in a PMC environment is preferred.
• Valid right to work in the United Kingdom.

Required skills

• Instrumentation & Control Engineering expertise.
• Knowledge of Saudi Aramco Desktop Standard.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience in telecommunications related to instrumentation.
