Senior Insurance Operations Associate – London

About the role

We are partnering with a specialist London Market insurance business to hire a Senior Insurance Operations Associate. This hands‑on position offers broad exposure across underwriting, finance, claims, reserving, technology and senior stakeholders, making it ideal for candidates who want more than a narrow processing role.

Key responsibilities

• Support day‑to‑day operational processes, ensuring data accuracy and effective controls.
• Oversee month‑end activities, reconciliations, sign‑offs and regulatory/market reporting.
• Manage delegated authority processes, bordereaux oversight, exception handling and operational controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements to reduce manual effort and strengthen governance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve data issues, improve flows and scale operations.

Required profile

• Experience within the insurance market, preferably in operations, delegated authority, underwriting operations or business support.
• Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to investigating data and challenging existing processes.
• Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis, reconciliations and reporting.
• Experience with Power Query, SQL, Python or Power BI (or similar tools) is highly advantageous.
