Senior Java Developer – Java/Spring/AWS – Remote – £60k – HealthTech

About the role

We are looking for a senior Java developer to join a HealthTech, tech‑for‑good business delivering a SaaS platform that supports patient care and rehabilitation. The role is fully remote within the UK and offers a salary of £60,000 plus great benefits. You will work hands‑on, designing, building and maintaining features in a regulated healthcare environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop new software features using Java, Spring and AWS services.
• Write clean, maintainable and well‑tested code with PostgreSQL as the data store.
• Participate in code reviews, QA processes and ensure security best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve client‑reported issues.
• Contribute to technical documentation and API specifications.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge across the team.

Required profile

• 5+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Java and the Spring ecosystem (Web MVC, Data JPA, Security, AMQP, OAuth2).
• Strong SQL skills, preferably with PostgreSQL.
• Experience designing cloud solutions on AWS.
• Good understanding of security best practices and regulated environments.
• Proficiency with version control, automated testing and code review.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently while mentoring others.
