About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join a global technology team delivering client‑facing reporting solutions for futures and options. The role involves working on a major platform migration and shaping a business‑critical reporting application.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and enhance enterprise Java applications using Spring Boot and REST APIs.
- Build scalable backend services and support client‑facing reporting platforms.
- Participate in a large‑scale migration to new source systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentor junior developers.
- Collaborate with global teams across the UK, India and the US.
Required profile
- Strong hands‑on expertise in building scalable Java applications.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with technical and business stakeholders.
Required skills
- Core Java, J2EE, Multithreading, Collections, OOP, Data Structures.
- Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Hibernate.
- Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL.
- Front‑end experience with AngularJS / Angular.
- Version control and CI tools: Git, JIRA, Artifactory, Ansible.
- Understanding of Java concurrency, design patterns, and web services.
