Senior Land Manager

About the role

At Miller Homes we are building better places for people, communities and the planet. We are looking for a Land Manager or Senior Land Manager to join our East Midlands Land team in Derby. The role involves identifying, evaluating and securing land opportunities that meet or exceed regional business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Identify on‑ and off‑market land opportunities that align with company requirements.
• Maintain a comprehensive network of contacts across the regional operating area.
• Progress deals after offer acceptance, coordinating with solicitors and internal teams to exchange contracts and achieve legal completion.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current on technical, planning and legal matters.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in land acquisition, preferably within a private house‑building environment.
• Strong numeracy and familiarity with land appraisal systems and budgeting.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Good knowledge of legal, technical and planning aspects of land acquisition.
