Senior Landscape Architect

About the role

An established and growing design practice in Dorking is seeking an enthusiastic Senior or Principal Landscape Architect. You will work on a diverse portfolio of projects that includes strategic and detailed landscape design, master‑planning, visual impact assessment and public‑realm schemes across the UK.

Key responsibilities

• Develop concept and detailed landscape designs for a range of sectors.
• Lead master‑planning and public‑realm projects from inception to delivery.
• Conduct landscape and visual impact assessments (LVIA) and integrate findings into design solutions.
• Collaborate closely with architects, ecologists and arboriculturists within a multidisciplinary team.
• Mentor and support junior team members, ensuring high‑quality outcomes.
• Manage multiple projects, deadlines and client relationships effectively.

Required profile

• Relevant postgraduate qualification in landscape architecture or related field.
• Minimum five years of professional experience.
• Chartered Member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI).
• Strong background in concept and detailed design, with master‑planning experience preferred.
• Proven experience in LVIA and landscape planning.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car for site visits (or willingness to obtain).
