Senior Large Loss Lawyer – Complex Injury

About the role

Keoghs LLP is seeking a Senior Large Loss Lawyer to join its Complex Injury team. You will work on high‑value, multi‑track injury claims, developing your own caseload while supporting senior colleagues on the most challenging matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage an independent EL/PL & RTA caseload of high‑value injury claims.
• Assist on catastrophic injury matters valued at £1 million and above.
• Advise insurer clients on liability, quantum, indemnity and litigation strategy.
• Draft pleadings, defenses and technical legal advice.
• Collaborate with experts, counsel and clients to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, with the option to generate your own instructions.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer or equivalent with defendant injury litigation experience.
• Proven experience handling injury claims of £500,000+.
• Background in defendant insurance and familiarity with Ogden calculations.
• Ability to manage a caseload autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of EL/PL and RTA litigation, including complex liability and medical issues.
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to mentor junior team members.
