Senior / Lead Electronics Design Engineer

About the role

Deeter Electronics is seeking an experienced Senior/Lead Electronics Design Engineer to take full technical ownership of product development from concept through to production. You will work within a small, collaborative team, partnering with manufacturing, sales and fellow engineers to deliver innovative, safety-critical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead electronic product design from concept to production, including schematics, PCB layouts, prototypes, testing and validation.
• Improve and maintain existing product designs, handling component selection and obsolescence.
• Develop and maintain test equipment and produce engineering documentation and manuals.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing and sales teams.
• Participate in design reviews and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Degree, HNC/HND in Electronics or equivalent experience.
• Strong background in analogue and digital circuit design.
• Extensive PCB layout experience.
• Experience with electromechanical systems, sensors or instrumentation.
• Embedded firmware development, primarily C on Microchip PIC devices.
• Proven ability to work independently and take technical ownership.
