Senior Legal Entity Controller

About the role

The Senior Legal Entity Controller will be a key member of Marex's Legal Entity Control team, ensuring the integrity of financial information across the Group and its subsidiaries. The role combines technical accounting oversight with line‑management responsibilities and supports a range of finance functions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements for entities under IFRS, US GAAP and FRS102.
• Support the Financial Reporting team with key notes for Group Annual and Quarterly Reports.
• Manage month‑end processes, balance‑sheet substantiation, intercompany reconciliations and audit enquiries.
• Develop and enhance control processes, integrate new acquisitions, and drive SOX compliance.
• Provide guidance to the LEC team and support the head of LEC.

Required profile

• Big 4 audit background (preferred) and experience in a large group or public company.
• Extensive group accounting and reconciliation experience, including transfer pricing and intercompany.
• Proven ability to improve processes and add value to stakeholders.
• Experience managing team members and projects to tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical, organisational and documentation skills.

• IFRS 3 and IFRS 9 technical expertise.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• PeopleSoft ERP system.
• Essbase reporting.
• Large ERP system experience.
