Senior Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Senior Maintenance Technician will join Amazon's Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) team at a Bristol fulfilment centre. You will lead a shift crew, ensure equipment runs reliably and continuously improve maintenance processes across the EU network.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate and enforce best‑practice safety procedures for all equipment.
• Perform visual inspections, condition‑based monitoring and preventative maintenance, scheduling additional servicing when needed.
• Supervise and develop on‑shift technicians, acting as the first point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures to minimise downtime and keep package processing at peak speed.
• Identify and implement process improvements and standardisation across the EU‑wide RME function.
• Monitor system performance using tools such as SCADA and support administrative tasks with the line manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience in industrial maintenance or reliability engineering, preferably in a fast‑paced logistics environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a technical team on rotating shifts, including weekends and nights.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and safety compliance.
• Willingness to work onsite at an operational site and adapt to shift patterns.
