Senior Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Senior Maintenance Technician ensures a high standard of repairs and maintenance across Greystar residential properties, contributing to an exceptional resident experience. You will diagnose faults, perform minor repairs, and maintain building interiors, grounds, and equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and resolve maintenance issues, including plumbing, joinery, carpentry, painting, lighting and statutory testing.
• Use the electronic maintenance reporting system (TCAS or Base 360) to log tasks, track progress and communicate with tenants.
• Maintain stock levels, coordinate contractors, and supervise external suppliers for minor works.
• Carry out health and safety checks, annual PAT testing, emergency lighting inspections and fire alarm tests.
• Ensure common areas, refuse facilities and gardens are clean, safe and well‑maintained.

Required profile

• GCSE/O‑Level level education with strong written and numerical skills.
• Recognised trade qualification (Building Crafts Operative Certificate, City & Guilds or NVQ) relevant to residential repairs.
• Proven experience in domestic maintenance or construction, preferably as a plumber, electrician or carpenter.
• Fluent English communication skills and a helpful, professional attitude.
