Senior Management Accountant (Band 7)

About the role

This permanent position is for a Senior Management Accountant (Band 7) within the East Dunbartonshire Health and Social Care Partnership. The role sits in the finance team at Kirkintilloch Health and Care Centre, delivering comprehensive financial management for Specialist Children’s Services and the wider partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Provide an effective, responsive financial management service to the partnership.
• Fulfil statutory financial obligations and produce monthly and annual reports.
• Support transformation and service‑redesign projects across health and social care.
• Develop services funded by Scottish Government investment for Specialist Children’s Services.
• Maintain and develop financial systems to ensure financial integrity.
• Manage budgets of approximately £55.8 million (Specialist Children’s Services) and £173 million (wider HSCP).
• Line‑manage Management Accountants within the finance team.
• Build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• CCAB‑qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
• Strong financial management and reporting expertise.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Advanced IT proficiency.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience managing staff and providing leadership in a finance team.
• Ability to deliver accurate financial information under tight deadlines.
