Senior Management Accountant

About the role

The Senior Management Accountant will lead financial reporting and provide strategic insights to support business decisions. Based in Bolton, this role offers a strong platform for professional growth within a large, well‑established organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver accurate, timely financial reports for operational and strategic use.
• Analyse financial performance and present insights to senior stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts and long‑term financial plans.
• Monitor financial controls to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes, meeting all deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve financial efficiency and processes.
• Mentor junior finance team members and provide guidance.
• Liaise with external auditors during annual audits.

Required profile

• Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of accounting systems and financial regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for senior stakeholder interaction.
