Senior Management Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Management Accountant to join our finance team in London on a hybrid basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in delivering financial reporting, management accounting, treasury and compliance across several international entities of a fast‑growing subsidiary.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the month‑end close process, including journal postings, work‑in‑progress allocation and overhead distribution.
• Perform balance‑sheet reconciliations and analyse profit‑and‑loss performance across all operating regions.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs with insightful commentary on variances.
• Ensure accurate processing of transactions in line with accounting standards and company policies.
• Maintain the general ledger, overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable and intercompany balances in multiple currencies.
• Support the preparation of statutory financial statements and assist external auditors.
• Prepare and review cash‑flow forecasts, complete bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
• Oversee claim‑related supplier payments and ensure they align with insurer receipts.
• Prepare corporate tax calculations, file VAT/GST returns and support broader tax compliance.
• Assist the finance team with budgeting, cost management and process improvements.

Required profile

• Professional accounting qualification – ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
• Proven experience in management accounting and month‑end close within a multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment.
• Familiarity with statutory reporting, external audit coordination and corporate tax compliance.
• Strong analytical ability to produce financial commentary and support decision‑making.
