Senior Manager – Accountancy Practice

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join a well‑established accountancy practice in South Cornwall. This is a full‑time, permanent position offering a competitive salary and a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, including limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Review statutory accounts, management accounts and tax returns.
• Provide business advisory and strategic support to clients.
• Lead, mentor and develop junior and senior team members.
• Build and maintain long‑term client relationships.
• Support business development and identify growth opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with accounting and tax regulations and liaise with HMRC.
• Oversee workflow, deadlines and team performance.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
• Significant experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts and taxation.
• Proven client‑portfolio management experience.
• Excellent leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Commercially aware with strong problem‑solving skills.
