Senior Manager, Confirmations and Controls

About the role

The Senior Manager, Confirmations & Controls will lead a critical operational function within Markets & Treasury Operations. Based in Edinburgh, you will oversee confirmations and settlement controls for Global Markets, ensuring robust performance, risk mitigation and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Confirmations function across Global Markets products, maintaining high operational performance and control effectiveness.
• Own settlement control processes, identifying, managing and resolving issues, exceptions and risks.
• Support governance for critical market settlement processes and uphold a strong control environment.
• Contribute to incident management and service recovery to minimise impact on customers and the business.
• Drive automation, innovation and technology initiatives to optimise controls and improve efficiency.
• Collaborate with Operations, Technology, Risk, Change and Front‑Office partners to deliver continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in Markets Operations or a related financial services area.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, high‑risk processes and drive transformation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills across technology, risk and front‑office teams.
• Passion for continuous improvement, automation and people development.
