Senior Manager – Cyber Incident & Response (Consulting)

About the role

This senior position sits within a leading Cyber Risk & Security practice, helping major organisations prepare for, manage and recover from complex cyber incidents. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and C‑suite leaders, providing advisory support and leading live incident response efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex cyber incident response advisory and live incident management engagements.
• Advise senior client stakeholders on preparedness, crisis management and operational resilience.
• Develop incident response plans, scenario‑specific playbooks and conduct readiness assessments.
• Design and facilitate cyber simulations, wargames and training sessions for executives.
• Support live incidents, coordinating technical specialists and client teams to contain threats.
• Drive business development, proposals and expand client relationships across cyber services.

Required profile

• Significant experience in cyber incident response, incident or crisis management.
• Proven track record of leading large, complex client engagements with financial and people management responsibility.
• Strong commercial awareness and experience developing new cyber service propositions.
• Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical issues for non‑technical audiences.
• Experience influencing senior executives and C‑suite stakeholders.

Required skills

• Cyber Incident Response methodologies and attacker techniques.
• Incident response planning, playbook development and readiness assessments.
• Design and delivery of cyber simulations, wargames and training exercises.
• Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001 and NIST.
