Senior Manager - Scope and Requirements

About the role

Rolls‑Royce SMR is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Scope and Requirements function within its Project Management Office. This hybrid role, based in Derby, Manchester or Warrington, will shape the way the programme defines, tracks and controls its scope, requirements and change across a high‑impact clean‑energy project.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the scope and requirements management framework, standards and governance across projects, programmes and portfolio activities.
• Establish clear traceability between requirements, scope, assumptions, risks, delivery baselines and decision records to support effective programme control.
• Oversee the Change Management Framework, ensuring proposed changes are assessed, governed, approved and implemented in a controlled and auditable manner.
• Partner with Engineering, Commercial, Finance, Risk, Delivery and Programme teams to ensure scope and requirements are managed as an integrated system that supports successful delivery outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in scope, requirements and change management within large, complex programmes.
• Strong ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and governance skills, with a track record of establishing robust frameworks and processes.

What we offer

• Salary range £71,000 – £93,200 per annum, dependent on experience.
• Performance‑related bonus of up to 17%.
• Benefits allowance of £5,000 to create a bespoke package.
