Senior Manager - Transaction Services

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead a newly created Transaction Services function in London. You will bring together the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, creating a unified, high‑performing operation that drives cash flow, working capital and process excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the AP and AR teams (14 full‑time staff, including four direct reports and offshore resources).
• Own day‑to‑day delivery of AP/AR processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
• Drive cash and working‑capital performance through improved billing discipline, reduced dispute cycles and stronger collections.
• Manage finance KPI suite, produce dashboards and actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives such as standardisation, automation and control enhancements.
• Maintain robust controls and audit readiness across AP/AR functions.
• Act as escalation point for complex supplier, customer, process or system issues.
• Partner with Procurement, budgeting, asset‑management and operational teams to improve internal service delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing AP and AR teams in a large, complex organisation.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and merge separate finance functions into a single service.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using KPI data for decision‑making.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across finance, procurement and operations.
• Experience overseeing offshore resources and ensuring audit‑ready controls.
