Senior Manufacturing Engineer & NPI Lead

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer who will also act as the NPI Lead, responsible for introducing new precision‑engineered components into production and continuously improving existing processes. You will work closely with engineering, production, quality and external partners to deliver cost‑effective, compliant manufacturing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end New Product Introduction (NPI) activities from enquiry through approval, meeting time, cost and quality targets.
• Apply APQP methodology to identify and mitigate risks across product development, manufacturing and the supply chain.
• Develop, improve and maintain production processes, including routings and work instructions.
• Review engineering changes and coordinate required actions with relevant teams.
• Support root‑cause analysis and non‑conformance investigations.
• Drive process improvement, efficiency gains and waste reduction initiatives.
• Provide technical support and training to production teams and deputise for engineering management when required.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
• Strong understanding of APQP and structured quality methodologies.
• Proven experience in process improvement and manufacturing engineering.
• Knowledge of risk and failure analysis tools such as FMEA.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
