About the role
Prestwick Aerosystems is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer / CNC Programmer to develop and optimise manufacturing systems, including robotic and numerically controlled programmes, for aircraft wing structures.
Key responsibilities
- Provide manufacturing systems solutions through industrial engineering.
- Create and amend CNC programmes.
- Liaise with Design and Manufacturing to generate programming data.
- Develop and maintain programming simulation models.
- Manipulate 3D data to support manufacturing processes.
- Deliver technical guidance and training on manufacturing systems programming.
- Manage tools and cutters for manufacturing operations.
Required profile
- Experience with manufacturing systems programming techniques.
- Proficiency in 3D modelling techniques.
- Good knowledge of a range of PDM tools.
- Understanding of automated manufacturing systems and equipment.
- HND level or equivalent experience in manufacturing or technology (desirable).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interfacing with customers and suppliers.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access.
