Senior M&E Consultant – Building Services

About the role

We are seeking a Senior M&E Consultant to join a growing building services engineering consultancy. You will work across a varied portfolio of commercial properties, providing mechanical and electrical engineering advice throughout the life‑cycle of existing buildings. The role offers autonomy, direct client contact and the chance to shape the business’s growth.

Key responsibilities

• Undertake M&E condition surveys and technical appraisals.
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and planned maintenance programmes.
• Conduct pre‑acquisition and technical due‑diligence surveys.
• Advise clients on asset replacement and life‑cycle planning.
• Review M&E designs and landlord approval applications.
• Manage mechanical and electrical refurbishment projects.
• Attend client meetings and present technical recommendations.
• Lead your own projects and maintain client relationships.
• Support less experienced engineers.

Required profile

• Experienced M&E Building Services Engineer with consultancy or commercial property background.
• Strong mechanical and electrical building services knowledge.
• Proven experience surveying existing commercial buildings.
• Good report‑writing and project‑management abilities.
• Confident, commercially aware approach.
• Relevant engineering qualification; chartered status beneficial but not essential.
