Senior Mechanical Workshop Technician (Kärcher Equipment)

About the role

Join a long‑standing Banbury workshop team that supports Karcher’s industrial cleaning equipment. The role is a full‑time, Monday‑to‑Friday position (8:30‑17:00) where you will work alongside experienced engineers in a supportive, low‑pressure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, maintain and repair Karcher industrial cleaning machines and specialist machinery.
• Carry out fault finding across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Perform pre‑delivery inspections (PDIs) and prepare machines for customer use.
• Replace components, complete repairs and uphold high workshop standards.
• Produce accurate repair documentation and cost estimates using the service system.
• Support field engineers and fellow workshop technicians as required.
• Ensure tools, equipment and working practices meet safety and quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Service Engineer, Workshop Engineer or similar role.
• Strong background working on diesel engines and heavy equipment such as plant machinery, commercial vehicles, agricultural gear or forklifts.
• Methodical, hands‑on approach with pride in quality workmanship.
• Team‑player who enjoys a collaborative workshop atmosphere.
