Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor

About the role

As a Senior MEP Quantity Surveyor in the retail industry, you will manage costs and budgets for construction projects, ensuring they stay on track and within budget. The role focuses on private consultancy work, including office fit‑outs, refurbishments and both pre‑ and post‑contract cost planning.

Key responsibilities

• Manage pre‑ and post‑contract cost planning processes for construction projects.
• Prepare and review tender documents, contracts and cost reports.
• Monitor budgets and control project costs to meet financial objectives.
• Provide accurate cost estimates for office fit‑outs and refurbishment projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure effective cost management and value engineering.
• Conduct risk assessments and advise on potential cost implications.
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Experience in a private consultancy environment.
• Strong pre‑ and post‑contract cost planning skills.
• Knowledge of office fit‑out and refurbishment projects within the retail sector.
• MRICS qualification or equivalent professional accreditation (desirable).
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational capabilities.
