Senior .NET Engineer – Avalonia & ASP.NET Core

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a technology partner and deliver a defined package of new software development work. The role focuses on extending a modern cross‑platform application suite covering desktop, backend, API and tooling components while improving maintainability and testability.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver software enhancements across desktop, backend, tooling and API components.
• Build new functionality within an established .NET architecture.
• Develop and extend ASP.NET Core services and REST APIs.
• Implement database‑driven features using PostgreSQL and Dapper.
• Create and maintain desktop UI features with Avalonia UI.
• Write unit and integration tests and support CI/CD pipelines.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience in C# and .NET development.
• Proven work with ASP.NET Core Web APIs and backend services.
• Commercial experience building desktop applications with Avalonia UI (or WPF/XAML with ability to adopt Avalonia).
• Solid understanding of MVVM architecture.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Dapper, JSON serialization and OpenAPI/Swagger.
• Knowledge of real‑time communication using SignalR or similar.
• Strong unit/integration testing background using xUnit, Moq or similar.
• Ability to develop cross‑platform applications for Windows and Linux.
• Familiarity with modern software engineering practices, code quality and CI/CD workflows.
