Senior Network and Security Engineer

About the role

CMC Markets is seeking an experienced Senior Network & Security Engineer to join its Technology team in London. You will design, build and support a global network infrastructure that underpins critical trading platforms in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CMC Markets’ global LAN, WAN and cloud network infrastructure.
• Deliver network engineering for new initiatives while supporting ongoing BAU growth and optimisation.
• Monitor network performance, capacity and availability, providing proactive support and troubleshooting.
• Implement new network services in line with internal policies, standards and security requirements.
• Maintain secure VPN connectivity with external partners and ensure best‑practice alignment.
• Lead investigation and resolution of network and security incidents and perform BAU changes on Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls.

Required profile

• Strong experience operating and troubleshooting Cisco ACI environments.
• Hands‑on experience with multicast networking.
• CCNP‑level networking knowledge or certification.
• Proven experience designing and building data‑centre and cloud networks.
