Senior Network Engineer (Surrey)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a dynamic technology team in Surrey. The role is hands‑on, focusing on the design, support and optimisation of a complex enterprise network environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain LAN, WAN, wireless and data‑centre networking solutions.
• Manage and optimise Palo Alto Networks firewalls and related next‑generation networking services.
• Ensure network performance, availability, resilience and security across the enterprise.
• Contribute to infrastructure improvement projects and operational excellence initiatives.
• Provide incident management, troubleshooting and problem‑resolution support.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in enterprise Layer 2 and Layer 3 network infrastructure.
• Strong hands‑on expertise with Palo Alto Networks firewalls.
• Solid routing, switching and network troubleshooting skills.
• Experience managing LAN, WAN, internet connectivity and wireless solutions.
• Knowledge of Cisco Nexus switching environments and network load‑balancing technologies.
• Ability to produce and maintain network standards, documentation and operational procedures.
