Senior Network (Palo Alto) Engineer – Surrey

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Network (Palo Alto) Engineer to join a high‑performing IT function responsible for protecting and supporting a complex enterprise environment. This hybrid position (2 days on‑site) combines ownership of network infrastructure with management of Palo Alto next‑generation firewalls, playing a key part in safeguarding systems and improving the organisation's security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi (Aruba) and load‑balancing infrastructure.
• Manage, optimise and troubleshoot Palo Alto firewalls and associated endpoint security platforms.
• Produce and keep up‑to‑date technical documentation, policies and procedures.
• Respond to security incidents and drive continuous improvement of network security.

Required profile

• Proven experience with L2/L3 switching, preferably Cisco Nexus.
• Strong background in LAN/WAN design and implementation.
• Hands‑on experience with Aruba Wi‑Fi solutions and load‑balancing technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
