Senior Network/ICT Engineer

About the role

You will lead the design of advanced ICT infrastructure for large‑scale data centre projects, delivering high‑quality Stage 4 outputs that underpin mission‑critical environments. This senior position combines technical ownership, client interaction and mentorship of junior engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and produce Stage 4 ICT deliverables covering structured cabling, active networks, security and converged building technologies.
• Collaborate with MEP, BIM and specialist teams to ensure fully coordinated, integrated designs.
• Engage with clients through presentations and design reviews, influencing technical outcomes.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering team development and best‑practice engineering.
• Stay abreast of industry standards and emerging technologies to continuously improve design methodology.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent in an engineering or ICT discipline.
• Strong experience in ICT/active network design within consultancy or contractor environments.
• Proven expertise in structured cabling systems (Cat6A, fibre‑optic backbone & horizontal infrastructure).
• Demonstrated ability to deliver detailed Stage 4 ICT designs and specifications.
• Knowledge of standards such as TIA‑942, TIA‑568, BICSI and EN50600.
• Current CCNA and CCNP certifications.
