Senior Node.js Developer – AWS Serverless (London Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Node.js Developer to join a fast‑growing platform engineering team in London. You will own end‑to‑end delivery of cloud‑native backend solutions, working closely with product, frontend and technical stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and deliver scalable backend applications using Node.js and TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs and serverless services on AWS.
• Architect AWS solutions with Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, SNS, SQS and S3.
• Take projects from requirements gathering through deployment and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product owners and technical leads.
• Create and maintain database structures across SQL and NoSQL environments.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Solve complex technical challenges and contribute to architectural decisions.
• Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.

Required profile

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proven track record designing and building REST APIs.
• Deep expertise in AWS Serverless technologies (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).
• Hands‑on experience with SQS, SNS, Step Functions and S3.
• Solid knowledge of both SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with modern CI/CD pipelines and software delivery practices.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and deliver with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
