Senior Operations & Data Specialist – Lloyd's Syndicate

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Operations and Data Specialist to support a Lloyd’s syndicate within a re‑insurance business. The role combines data analysis, process improvement and stakeholder reporting to enhance operational efficiency and drive business performance.

Key responsibilities

• Own and analyse core operational datasets, ensuring accuracy, consistency and completeness.
• Produce reporting, analysis and insights for senior stakeholders to inform decisions.
• Manage data validation, reconciliations, controls and quality checks.
• Identify trends, investigate issues and recommend data‑driven improvements.
• Support regulatory and management reporting requirements.
• Reduce manual activity by improving data processes and increasing automation.
• Collaborate with technology teams to test and implement system enhancements.
• Develop and maintain operational dashboards and reporting tools.

Required profile

• Experience in the insurance or re‑insurance industry, preferably in an operational, analytical or delegated authority role.
• Strong Excel proficiency with a focus on data analysis, reconciliation and reporting.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders and influence decisions through data.
• Willingness to work on‑site five days a week.
