Senior Operations Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead the planning and delivery of live events across London and other UK venues. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on execution, ensuring safe, efficient crowd and traffic management from concept to on‑site delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Operations Department, mentoring direct reports and coordinating large event teams.
• Oversee end‑to‑end delivery of live events, developing operational plans for logistics, crowd flow, traffic and transport.
• Manage on‑site operations, briefing staff, deploying resources and supporting execution.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, local authorities, stakeholders and event partners.
• Prepare quotations, manage client enquiries and oversee assigned accounts.
• Produce operational documentation, risk assessments, traffic management and site plans.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and industry best practice.
• Monitor budgets, staffing levels and performance metrics to guarantee successful event outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven senior operational experience in the live‑events sector.
• Strong background in crowd management, event safety and traffic/transport coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large, often temporary, teams.
• Excellent stakeholder and client management capabilities.
• Organised, able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work evenings, weekends and travel to event sites.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational planning tools.
