Senior Operations Manager – Supply Chain

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to lead the end‑to‑end supply‑chain function for our client’s busy commercial operations. The role will ensure products move efficiently from procurement through to final customer delivery while driving operational excellence in a fast‑paced trading and logistics environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operational activities across procurement, shipping, and delivery to meet contractual and customer requirements.
• Develop and implement operational strategies that align with business objectives and improve efficiency, service quality and profitability.
• Monitor and optimise logistics, coordinating with suppliers, terminals, brokers, transport providers and inspection companies.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations, company policies and manage operational risk mitigation.
• Establish and track performance metrics, analyse data and produce management reports.
• Lead, coach and develop the operations team, fostering a collaborative, results‑driven culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing supply‑chain or logistics operations, preferably in a commercial or trading environment.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers, transport partners and customers.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement and implement new technologies or methodologies.
• Excellent understanding of compliance, risk management and contractual obligations.
• Leadership experience with a track record of developing high‑performing teams.
