Senior Operations Officer – Banking Operations

About the role

Senior Operations Officer will support daily operational activity for an international banking institution in the City of London. The role ensures accurate processing of FX, Money Market and Securities transactions, timely settlements and effective support to front‑office teams.

Key responsibilities

• Process and verify FX, Money Market and Securities transactions.
• Prepare trade confirmations and support settlements.
• Maintain transaction records and operational documentation.
• Process invoices and assist with cash management activities.
• Monitor securities settlements and corporate actions.
• Liaise with traders, clients and counterparties to resolve queries.
• Provide wider operational support and team cover as required.

Required profile

• Previous operations experience within a banking, treasury or financial markets environment.
• Good understanding of products such as FX, Money Markets, Securities and Cash Management.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communicator comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with settlement and banking platforms (e.g., Euroclear, Murex or similar systems).
