Senior Paralegal – Private Client

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Paralegal to join a well‑established law firm in East Hertfordshire. You will work closely with a senior Private Client Solicitor, handling client instructions and drafting straightforward Wills while developing your expertise across a range of Private Client matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of Private Client matters with supervision.
• Take detailed client instructions and draft straightforward Wills independently.
• Assist with semi‑complex Wills, estate planning, and trust matters.
• Prepare and register Lasting Powers of Attorney.
• Support probate and estate administration files.
• Contribute to tax planning and Court of Protection matters.
• Provide clear, empathetic, and professional client care.
• Maintain accurate file management and compliance standards.

Required profile

• Strong experience within Private Client law.
• Ability to draft straightforward Wills independently.
• Confidence in taking client instructions and managing a caseload.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Team‑oriented attitude within a small, supportive department.
